The Membership Outreach Team
The Gifford Pinchot Task Force believes in the power of grassroots community organizing. When united as members of the Task Force, individuals have a greater voice in important issues and the power to accomplish more work on the ground. In order to bring this opportunity to as many people as possible, our Membership Outreach Team – a group of dedicated, passionate, professional representatives – works door to door linking like-minded people in their pursuit of our shared ideals.

Our current Membership Outreach Team members are:
Jessalyn Epstein - Membership Outreach Representative
Jessalyn began working for the Task Force in April 2010. After taking a year off to teach English in a local high school, she returned to canvassing in June of 2011. She brings to her work a passion for working as an advocate for local environmental concerns. Jessalyn is also an avid dancer. When she is not on her feet, she spends her time writing, studying languages, and playing music.
Josh Gates - Membership Outreach Representative
Josh joined the Task Force in October 2008, bringing with him two years of experience in fundraising, logistics, and management on several environmental, social, and political campaigns in Portland. Josh is also a prolific artist and musician, with a passion for grassroots organizing and activism.
Paul Seif - Membership Outreach Representative
Paul Seif has worked for GPTF since 2009 and has six years experience working in membership and fundraising for area non-profits. Paul also volunteers for three area non-profits serving as a consultant in fundraising and membership: including the YWCA, Q Center and HomePDX. He is also a student at Marylhurst University in preparing for seminary and hopes to someday be a Presbyterian minister. Paul lives in the Arnada neighborhood in Vancouver WA with his wife and two kids.
