The Latest Photos From Our Wildlife Cameras

Below are the first images captured by the newly placed wildlife cameras in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.  These images represent an important step toward documenting rare carnivores.

With the help of your funds the Gifford Pinchot Task Force began putting out remote wildlife cameras in August to work in concert with our volunteer tracking program.  Our cameras are studying low elevation sightings of carnivores in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest (GPNF). We currently have three camera’s placed in different regions in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest: Mount Adams, Mount St. Helens, and the Wind River Watershed.

With your support we can begin to purchase more cameras and place them in strategic locations.  The collected data will assist greatly with our restoration efforts.

If you'd like to learn more about this program, volunteer in the field to assist with the cameras, or support the program by helping the Task Force purchase more cameras, contact Conservation Director Jessica Walz at 503-221-2102 ext. 101 or jessica@gptaskforce.org.
