Policy

The Task Force works with other organizations and with coalitions to shape national legislation and Forest Service policies to protect and restore Northwest public lands. We advocate for:

•    Investment in restoration work on public lands,

•    Permanent protection of ancient forests and roadless areas,

•    Reform of the 1872 mining law,

•    Protection for the Northwest’s rivers,

•    Preservation, development, and strengthening of important environmental laws that support our mission and goals.
